FIELD: image processing means.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image display technology. Conversion system of RGB to RGBW color includes: a linearization section for linearizing the entered RGB values; comparison section to compare the linearized RGB values to obtain the maximum and minimum values; binarization section for performing luminance binarization over the linearized RGB values to obtain a luminance binarization value; multiplication factor section for comparing the percentage of the number of pixels corresponding to the luminance binarization value from the total number of pixels in the image with a predetermined percentage to obtain a multiplication factor; section for calculating the output value of calculating the output values of RGBW in accordance with the linearized RGB values, the maximum value, the minimum value, the multiplication factor and the specified percentage. Accordingly, adding a white W sub-pixel will not reduce the output RGB values, thus, the color saturation can be improved without changing the overall image brightness.

EFFECT: technical result is to improve the quality of the image.
