SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display technology. Method of converting three-color data into four-color data includes converting input RGB data into intermediate RGBW data in accordance with the first specified saturation parameter, second set saturation parameter and the third specified saturation parameter; obtaining a first saturation correction parameter, second saturation correction parameter, and third saturation correction parameter in accordance with intermediate RGBW data and standard RGBW data; use of the first saturation correction parameter, second saturation correction parameter, and third saturation correction parameter to adjust respectively the first predetermined saturation parameter, second predetermined saturation parameter and third predetermined saturation parameter; use of the first specified saturation parameter after its correction, second set saturation parameter after its correction, and third specified saturation parameter after its correction to convert the input RGB data to the output RGBW data.
EFFECT: improvement of color saturation of an image displayed by a display device.
