SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for positioning a communication terminal. Method comprises steps of: collecting and analysing wireless messages of wireless devices in a current space, so as to obtain a first characteristic spectrum of the current space; matching the first characteristic spectrum of the current space with pre-set characteristic spectra of a plurality of spaces; and acquiring, if the pre-set characteristic spectra of the plurality of spaces contain a second characteristic spectrum, which matches the first characteristic spectrum of the current space, space information corresponding to the second characteristic spectrum, so as to obtain a positioning result of the communication terminal in the current space, said characteristic spectrum comprising a correspondence between the identifier and the signal quality of the wireless device.

EFFECT: technical result is enabling automatic identification of location space.
