FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to determination of mobile devices location. Initiating node, which is part of network for location determination, wirelessly transmits an initiation signal to a mobile device, wherein the initiation signal is configured to force the mobile device to wirelessly generate a signal in response to receiving the initiation signal; signal-waiting nodes are waiting for a response signal sent from the mobile device in response to the initiation signal, and so in each corresponding plurality of signal-waiting nodes, which receive a wireless response signal from the mobile device, receiving corresponding measurements of a response signal received in a corresponding signal waiting node for use in performing location determination to determine the location of a mobile device based on one or more of these measurements.

EFFECT: technical result is high location accuracy.
