SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. At a time, method includes: obtaining an accompanying signal transmitted along with an overhead signal during the transmission of an overhead signal from the first equipment to the second equipment; obtaining, respectively, the first value of the delay generated during the transmission of the accompanying signal in the first equipment, and a second delay value generated during transmission in the second equipment; obtaining a first difference value between the first delay value and the first set delay value of the first equipment and the second difference value between the second delay value and the second predetermined delay value of the second equipment; inserting the first difference value into an overhead signal for transmission to the second equipment along with an overhead signal; extracting the first difference value from an overhead signal on the second equipment and obtaining a delay compensation value, required during the transmission of the service signal in accordance with the first difference value and the second difference value; and performing a delay compensation on the service signal during the transmission of the service signal in accordance with the delay compensation value.

EFFECT: technical result is the solution of the delay problem.
