SUBSTANCE: method involves removing threads with a diameter of 110 mm on both sides of the RU1 axle, surfacing a clearance groove and a threaded part of the axle at the length of the axle neck increase in the range from 15 mm to 20 mm with allowance for treatment to the required diameter of the axle neck, drilling to a depth from 20 mm to 45 mm center holes of the axles, carrying out the facing of the axles, treating the surfacing to the axle neck diameter, boring the center holes of the axle on both sides, reaming holes with a diameter of 20 mm for fixing end washers with bolts and cutting their threads, marking appropriate signs and stamps.
EFFECT: applying the invention makes it possible to speed up and simplify the manufacture of the RU1W-type axle due using a pre-prepared axle of the RU1 type.
