FIELD: environmental protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental protection, in particular, it can be used in arid conditions for the restoration of oil contaminated lands. Method for restoration of oil contaminated soils, characterised by determining the range and depth of soil contamination, determining the type of soil, the type of oil contamination, sampling and conducting laboratory tests to determine the concentration of oil and oil products, adding a sorbent to the soil in the form of rice husks, the amount of which depends on the degree of soil contamination. Method includes creating optimal conditions for moistening and aeration of the soil by frequent stirring at a temperature of 35–40 °C, which promotes intensive breakdown of oil products, and adding 40–60 tons per hectare of semi-decomposed manure. Technical result of the invention is the use of efficient sorption material for the absorption of oil products from contaminated soils based on rice husks.

EFFECT: use of rice husks, which are potential local raw materials for the production of sorbents, makes it possible to combine the elimination of agricultural waste with environmental protection activities.
