FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, namely to surgical implant adapted to repair tissue defects or a muscle wall, in particular for the treatment of inguinal hernia, and to a method of manufacturing such implant. Surgical implant is designed to repair defects in tissues or the muscular wall and contains the outer part and the inner part located in the outer part. Outer part and the inner part are formed from one double sheet of a flexible basic structure. Outer part is generally cone-shaped or basically truncated cone. Inner part is accessible through open base in the generally conical shape of the outer part. Double sheet of the basic structure is a single sheet bent along the fold line, which is the axis of symmetry, as a result of which two opposite parts of the sheet form internal part in the region adjacent to the fold line, and outer portion in a region spaced from the fold line, and have edge regions facing each other in the outer portion, wherein at least a portion of said edge regions facing each other are connected to each other. Method of manufacturing the above surgical implant according to which one double sheet of a flexible basic structure is provided and from the said double sheet outer part and inner part are formed. According to the second variant of the method for manufacturing the above surgical implant, a double sheet of the basic structure is obtained by folding a single sheet of the basic structure along the fold line or similarly by superimposing two single sheets of the basic structure on top of each other, which leads to the formation of two opposite sections of the sheet forming inner portion in the region adjacent to the fold line, and the outer portion in the region remote from the fold line, wherein the opposing parts of the sheet have edge regions facing each other. In the outer part, at least in part, said edge regions facing each other are joined, wherein connection being preferably carried out by welding, gluing and/or stitching. Additional areas of opposing parts of the sheet facing each other are joined, preferably by welding, gluing and/or stitching. In outer part double sheet of the basic structure is turned out so that it places the interior. Adjust the inner part so that it is inserted into the outer part.
EFFECT: inventions provide correction of defects of various sizes.
