FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of medical technology, namely, a surgical implant for repairing a tissue or muscle wall defect, such as a hernia of the abdominal wall, and to the manufacturing processes of such an implant. In the method, the surgical implant for repairing a tissue or muscle wall defect contains a first layer and a second layer. Said first layer has a central area and a peripheral area. Said first layer has at least two openings disposed in the peripheral area of the first layer. Said at least two openings are located at a distance from the periphery of the first layer. Further, a part of each of said at least two openings is raised or is configured to be raised relative to the plane of the first layer to a height that is more than three times larger than the thickness of the first layer. These at least two openings are of a size and shape as to allow surgical fastening of the implant onto the body tissue. These at least two openings have maximum dimensions of 2 mm to 2 cm. Said method for producing raised parts in the above implant having one or more raised parts comprises the following steps: the first layer is joined to the second layer, the attachment being preferably carried out by gluing or bonding; one or more raised parts are formed within the first layer or second layer, preferably within both the first and second layer, by: compression and thermal deformation of the first layer attached to the second layer, or stretching of the first layer attached to the second layer. Wherein such first layer is preferably made from a surgical mesh, and the second layer is preferably a resorbable polymer film. This method for manufacturing the above implant comprises the following steps: a) the first and second layers are joined by gluing, laminating, or stitching using running or embroidery stiches; and b) the first and second layers are thermoformed using an elevated temperature and pressure. According to its second embodiment, the method for producing the above implant comprises the following steps: a) the surgical mesh is thermoformed to form a plurality of raised areas; b) the thermoformed mesh is placed in a substantially flat mold together with a liquid composition for the second layer material; and c) the second layer material is cured by evaporating the solvent, polymerization, reaction, crosslinking or cooling.
EFFECT: invention provides a surgical implant that provides ease of implantation for the surgeon and has the following characteristics: less material (namely, fewer foreign bodies) and more opportunities for tissue germination on the parietal side and resistance to adhesion on the visceral side without bending the implant, and such an implant is easily fastened onto the body tissue.
