FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of psychology, pedagogy, medicine and physiology and may be used to quickly and accurately assess the psychoemotional state and determine the characteristics of attention as a criterion for assessing the psychoneurological and emotional status of a person. Device for determining the characteristics of a person's attention is made with the possibility of obtaining the parameters as a result of testing: number of errors, %, average reaction time, ms, minimum reaction time, ms, maximum reaction time, ms, used to determine the characteristics of attention. Device comprises: a video monitoring device configured to present to the subject with a smoothly increasing contrast of a random set of stimuli in the form of geometric figures, where one of the figures is given and requires the answer "YES", and all the others - the answer is "NO" and where the geometric figures are: a triangle, a square, a circle, as well as their combinations: a triangle and a square inside the circle, a circle and a triangle inside the square, a circle and a square inside the triangle. "PC" button for setting the right-hand finger of the subject and the "LC" button for setting the left-hand finger to answer "YES" and for the answer "NO" to the stimulus. Signal control assembly configured to receive a signal for selecting the answer to a "YES" or "NO" response to the subjects and interrupting the signal supply with the next stimulus signal after the stimulus signal has been input to the signal processing and storage unit. Digital converter of the said parameters is configured to receive parameters simultaneously with the interruption of the signal supply by the signal control assembly and with the possibility of subsequent transmission of the converted signal to the signal processing and storage assembly. Signal processing and storage assembly is designed to calculate the characteristics of attention: attention deficit, attention safety and attention property by mathematical formulae.
EFFECT: device allows you to calculate objectively and quickly the components of the characteristics of human attention by estimating the number of errors, the average reaction time, the minimum reaction time, the maximum reaction time during testing.
