FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to dentistry, and can be used to diagnose teeth malposition of the upper and lower jaws during the bite of permanent teeth. X-ray examination of the patient is performed, as a result of which an orthopantomogram of the jaws is obtained. Main anatomically stable landmarks for determining the position of permanent teeth on the orthopantomograms of the jaws are the points "Dzn" located at the intersection of the line corresponding to the projection of the distal clivus of the zygomatic process of the upper jaw with the shadow of the hard palate, points "C", which are located near the lateral walls of the nasal passage, and the point "M" – the lowest point of the symphysis on the chin. On the orthopantomograms of the jaws, as shown in Fig. 1, the points "Dzn" are marked and connect with a horizontal line. Resulting segment "Dzn" – "Dzn" is divided into two equal segments and the point "K" is obtained from which the perpendicular is dropped to intersect with the shadow of the lower edge of the lower jaw and thus the first vertical line – the line of the aesthetic center is built. Distance from the point "Dzn" to the point "Dzn" is divided into three equal segments and the points "C" are obtained, the distance from the point "Dzn" to the point "C" is divided into three equal segments and the points "M" and "Pr" are obtained, distance from the point "C" to the point "K" is divided into two equal segments and the point "I" is obtained. From the points "Dzn", "M", "Pr", "C" and "I", perpendiculars are dropped from each side of the upper jaw to the intersection with the shadow of the lower edge of the lower jaw, thus, the landmarks for determining the position of the six permanent teeth of the frontal group on the upper and lower jaws, namely anterior teeth, labial teeth and oral teeth, as well as four permanent teeth of the lateral segment on the upper and lower jaws to the right and left – the first and second premolars, the first and second molars, with the exception of the third permanent molars, due to their high propensity to rudimentary. Lines dropped from the points "Dzn" (lines of the second permanent molars), pass through the mesiobuccal cusp of the second molar of the upper jaw and the tooth depression of the second molar of the lower jaw, the lines dropped from the points "M" (lines of the first permanent molars), pass through the mesiobuccal cusp of the first molar of the upper jaw and the tooth depression of the first molar of the lower jaw, the lines dropped from the "Pr" points (premolar lines), pass between the crowns of the premolars of the upper jaw and through the mesial slope of the tubercle of the second premolar of the lower jaw, the lines dropped from the points "C" (canine lines), pass along the axis of the canines of the upper jaw and along the distal margin of the canines of the lower jaw, the lines dropped from the points "I" (incisal lines) pass between the incisors of the upper jaw and through the middle of the crown of the lateral incisor of the lower jaw, line dropped from the point "K" – the line of the aesthetic center passes between the medial incisors of the upper and lower jaw and through the point "Me" on the chin, thus, the obtained lines are the landmarks for determining the position of permanent teeth on the orthopantomograms of the jaws.
EFFECT: method, due to the use of anatomically stable landmarks, allows to increase the accuracy of determining the position of permanent teeth on orthopantomograms of jaws.
