FIELD: aviation; test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground tests of aircraft (AC) elements, namely, to the reproduction of thermal conditions of the head part (fairing) of a rocket under ground conditions. Method of thermal testing of ceramic casings consists in the fact that the ceramic shell is mounted on the control frame, on which a layer of sealant is imprinted, reproducing the adhesive layer in the junction of this type of fairing. Force loading is created due to local heating of the inner surface of the control frame according to a certain law, while the movements of the outer surface of the shell in a single cross-section are synchronously measured in such a way that the displacement sensors are in pairs, opposite each other, in one longitudinal plane passing through the axis of rotation of the shell. After the heating has ended, the readings of these sensors are summarized in order to detect changes in diametrical movements in a given longitudinal plane during thermal loading.
EFFECT: minimizing the risk of allowing a defective ceramic shell to be assembled with a frame.
