FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ground tests of aircraft (AC) elements, namely, to the reproduction of thermal conditions of the head part (fairing) of a rocket under ground conditions. Method for testing ceramic shells includes mounting the shell on a control frame with a sealant applied thereon, equal to the thickness of the adhesive layer in the fairing connection assembly, force loading of the shell by local heating of the frame through the wall of the ceramic shell, synchronous measurement of displacements of the outer surface of the shell in one cross section by displacement sensors located on the ceramic base in pairs opposite to each other in one longitudinal plane passing through the axis of rotation of the shell, summation of readings of sensors after heating and detection of changes of diametrical movements of shell in given longitudinal plane. Stocks of displacement sensors, made from material with low coefficient of linear expansion, installed in heat-insulating windows in heater, and between heater and ceramic base heat-insulating layer is arranged with heat conductivity of not more than 0.3 W/m⋅K. Method has been experimentally developed and is used in determining stress-strain state of shell structures of the type of bodies of revolution with multilayer (metal-composite) frames.
EFFECT: technical result is high accuracy when assessing the stress-strain state of ceramic shells before assembly with a multilayered frame.
