SUBSTANCE: invention relates to concentrated liquid flavorings (CLF) for prolonged storage and methods for preparing flavored beverages. CLF contains water, the activity of which is about 0.76, a flavoring component and a sweetener in an amount, providing sweetness of the CLF from about 50 to about 65 degrees Brix. And the amount of the sweetener in the flavoring gives the beverage less than 2 degrees Brix, when the CLF is diluted in the beverage in a ratio of about 1:40 to about 1:160, and the pH of the CLF is in the range of about 5.0 to about 7.0.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain CLF with a long shelf life of about 3 months at a temperature of 20–25 °C, due to increased acidity and/or reduced water activity, and also enables use thereof to add flavor (taste) to the beverage, such as coffee, tea, milk or other delicious drinks; CLFs can be used in convenient portable packaging that provides dispensed output.
