FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of conversion of vacuum ultraviolet radiation (VUR) to electricity and registration of VUR radiation. High-temperature ultraviolet photoconverter is proposed, which contains the sensing element based on synthetic diamond, wherein the converter structure comprises the homoepitaxial structure, which is the p-type HPNT diamond substrate heavily doped with boron, with the 10 μm diameter diamond-coated CVD film of type IIa ~10 µm thick, and the additionally introduced heating element in order to provide the operating temperature of the UV converter up to the temperature of 300°C.
EFFECT: invention provides for the extension of the UV range of the photovoltaic transducer in the direction of short waves up to 170 nm.
