FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of materials obtained from biomass in process streams. Chemical system is proposed for replacing at least one bond of C-O, C-N and C-S with a C-H bond in an aromatic substrate, wherein the said system comprises a mixture of (a) at least one organosilane and (b) at least one strong base, wherein the said system may further contain a solvent, a molecular hydrogen donor compound, molecular hydrogen or both and an aromatic substrate. Method for replacing at least one C-O, C-N, and C-S bond with a C-H bond in an aromatic substrate using the claimed chemical system is also provided.
EFFECT: technical result – proposed chemical system allows to replace these bonds in an aromatic substrate without the use of compounds of transition metals, which makes the proposed method more economical and environmentally friendly in comparison with known methods.
