FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treated materials of biomass. A method for reduction in a lignin content in raw materials for biomass is proposed, including contact at a temperature from 75 to 450°C of biomass raw materials with a chemical system, which contains: (a) at least one organosilane having at least one silicon-hydrogen (Si-H) bond, which is polymethylhydroxysiloxane or organosilane of the formula (I) or the formula (II), where m is equal to 1, 2, or 3; n is from 10 to 100; and R is optionally substituted C1-12alkyl, C6-20aryl, C7-30alkaryl, C7-30aralkyl, -O-C1-12alkyl, -O-C6-20aryl, -O-C7-30alkaryl, -O-C7-30-aralkyl, and, if they are substituted, substitutes are halogen or are bound with insoluble or minimally soluble substrate containing aluminum oxide, silicon dioxide, or carbon; (b) at least one strong base containing potassium alkoxide, cesium alkoxide, or potassium hydride, and, optionally, (c) at least one compound – donor of molecular hydrogen, molecular hydrogen, or both; where lignin includes aromatic carbon-oxygen bonds.
EFFECT: proposed method allows for cleavage of aromatic C-O bonds without the use of catalysts based on nickel and other transition metals at relatively low temperatures, which allows for increase in economy and environmental friendliness of purification of raw materials for biomass.
