SUBSTANCE: compressed air for the action of the fuel injector drive is taken from the air supply line to the common external combustion chamber, enters the pneumatic accumulator and charges it. To supply fuel to the external combustion chamber, the control system sets the air supply control valve in a position, where the fuel injector drive piston moves in one direction, connecting by the fuel injector plunger tappet with the fuel injector plunger. Kinetic energy of the fuel injector drive piston and the fuel injector plunger goes into the potential energy of the fuel pressure in the fuel injector plunger cavity. Fuel from the fuel injector plunger cavity is fed into the external combustion chamber. For the next cycle of fuel supply to the external combustion chamber, the control system switches the control valve to the position, where the fuel injector drive piston moves to the other side, connecting by the fuel injector plunger tappet with the fuel injector plunger. Kinetic energy of the fuel injector drive piston and the fuel injector plunger goes into the potential energy of the fuel pressure in the fuel injector plunger cavity. Fuel from the fuel injector plunger cavity is fed into the external combustion chamber. When fuel is supplied to the external chamber, the potential energy of the fuel pressure is converted into the energy of the fuel dispersion.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the degree of dispersion of fuel supplied to the external combustion chamber of a free-piston power module with a common combustion chamber.
