FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition and a method for preparing a solid extractant for extracting scandium from sulfuric acid solutions. Solid extractant (TVEX) is proposed for the extraction of scandium from scandium-containing solutions containing a styrene-divinylbenzene matrix with di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid. In addition, it additionally contains tri-n-octylphosphine oxide, tributyl phosphate, isododecane at the following component ratio, mass%: di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid 32.0–37.5, tri-n-octylphosphine oxide 4.2–8.0, tributyl phosphate 0.8–1.7, isododecane 16.7–20.0, styrenedivinylbenzene balance, the ratio between styrene and divinylbenzene in the matrix is 75–80 to 20–25 % by weight. Method of obtaining the above-mentioned TVEX is also proposed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a selective scandium TVEX with a high dynamic exchange capacity.
