FIELD: separation; mixing.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to an industrial machine with a variable drive and a method of controlling such a machine that can find application in the mining industry. Industrial machine comprises a breaker motor having a rotational speed, a breaker shaft, a sensor and a controller. Breaker shaft is mechanically coupled to an output of the breaker motor and contains a number of tools operable to crush a material. Sensor is configured to generate a signal related to a parameter of the breaker motor. Controller is configured to receive the signal from the sensor, to determine the parameter value of the breaker motor based on the received signal, to compare the value for the parameter of the breaker motor to a threshold value, and to generate a control signal for modifying the rotational speed of the breaker motor based on the comparison of the value for the parameter of the breaker motor to the threshold value.
EFFECT: method of controlling the industrial machine provides an increase in the service life of the working bodies.
