FIELD: hydro acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydro-acoustics and can be used to assess the technical parameters of an underwater object (UO) at an acoustic range. Method consists in that a UO is guided along a rectilinear trajectory past the hydro-acoustic ordinary measurement instrument (OMI). It is irradiated with an acoustic wave at a fixed frequency. Receiving the Doppler signal RSI, reflected from the different parts (zones) of the PO is carried out. For each of the allocated zones, the time-frequency distributions and the estimation of the reflection levels of the tone signal are determined.
EFFECT: technical result obtained from the implementation of the invention is the ability to estimate the reflection levels of a tonal acoustic signal from the individual zones of the underwater object.
