FIELD: nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: miniature photon radiation detector contains a scintillator made of polystyrene or polyvinyl toluene with the addition of tin or lead in a percentage of 0.5-2%, a first photodetector electrically connected to an electronic pulse counting circuit (counting channel), a second photodetector electrically connected to the electronic circuit photocurrent measurements (current channel), counting and current channels are connected to a single microcontroller, the built-in software of which provides data acquisition from the counting channel or from the current channel, automatic calculation of the dose equivalent and dose rate of photon radiation and transmission of information via external interfaces.
EFFECT: expansion of the energy range, the range of measuring the equivalent dose rate and the registration of short-term high-power pulses.
