FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of acetaldehyde production of ethanol nonoxidative dehydrogenation reaction in a flow reactor at atmospheric pressure and elevated temperature in the presence of a mixed metal oxide catalyst containing zinc, copper and aluminum oxides. At that, the catalyst is heated to the reaction temperature by SHF radiation of low power up to 45 Watts, wherein the catalyst has composition, wt%: ZnO - 18-25%; CuO - 54-60%; Al2O3 - 8-10% additionally, in an amount of 5-20% by weight contains nano-powders of tungsten carbide, or tantalum carbide, or niobium carbide, namely, materials that actively absorb SHF energy, and raw materials in the form of ethanol, not diluted with an inert gas, is supplied to the heated catalyst at a mass flow rate of 0.5-2 h-1, where it is contacts with the catalyst at a temperature of 125-175°C.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to produce the desired product with increased activity and productivity of the catalyst.
