SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used in engineering. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: silicon 0.05–0.1; manganese 0.3–0.5; chrome 0.12–0.16; nickel 1.5–3.2; vanadium 0.8–1.2; aluminium 2.5–4.0; magnesium 0.005–0.01; calcium 0.005–0.01; barium 0.002–0.005; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high impact strength.
