Proposed method for assessing the adaptive potential of spring barley under stress, including seed germination in a roll culture in a water thermostat, then a part of the two-day seedlings of the culture is transferred to a 0.2 mM diquat solution and 5-day-old seedlings, after being exposed to the light for 45 minutes, photosynthetic pigments and malonic dialdehyde (MDA) are determined as indicators of resistance to stress and the difference in the photosynthetic pigments and / or MDA of the sample and after the exposure to stress the adaptive potential of the culture under study is assessed.

EFFECT: method provides a simultaneous determination of the adaptability of barley grain culture to a wide range of stresses.
