SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in agriculture. Method includes in vitro micropropagation and growing of potato plants on Murashige-Skoog nutrient medium with treatment of potato plants with a solution of biologically active substance, in form of 24-epibrassinolide. At the initial stage of three-week—for 21 days—cloning of potato plants in vitro and before exposure to salt stress, 24-epibrassinolide in concentration of 10 nM or 1,000 nM is added to the nutrient medium once.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the number of tiers and biomass of potato plants, content of photosynthetic pigments in them, reduced level of oxidative stress during subsequent action of salt stress.
