FIELD: technology of water and air purification.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing fresh water from water vapors contained in ambient air, and can be used to produce fresh water mainly in the coastal regions with the seas. Device contains a cooling partition separating the condensation zone of water vapor and cooling water, a receptacle for fresh water. Cooling partition is the upper surface of the through passage for the flow of cooling seawater located between two opposite walls of the open top container. Container is immersed into a water body of water with sea water so that its walls extend beyond the surface of the sea water and prevent splashes from the waves from entering into it. Path is placed in such a way that one of its ends is at the surface of the water, and the other is lower with an inclination ranging from 20 to 45°. At that, the path in cross-section has the form of a triangle, whose base is turned to the bottom of the container, and the vertex is to the surface of the water body. Length of the triangle base is less than the width of the container in the direction perpendicular to the placement of the path, and the angle between the lateral edges of the triangle lies in the range of 90–140°. In the immediate vicinity of the upstream end of the tract in seawater, a wave energy converter is mounted, which is fixed to the outside of the container from the outside by means of a fastener. Container location at the surface of the water reservoir is provided by floats.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention consists in ensuring the possibility of obtaining fresh water from the ambient air without using an external energy source and thus eliminating the environmental pollution.
