FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, in particular to a medical device having a surface layer containing an antimicrobial metal, and to a method for producing such an apparatus. A medical device intended to contact a living soft tissue, comprising a base having a contact surface with a soft tissue, comprising a surface layer containing one or more gallium and/or bismuth compounds, said gallium and/or bismuth compound also comprising titanium and is selected from the group consisting of gallium nitride and titanium, nitride of bismuth and titanium, gallium-titanium, bismuth-titanium, gallium-bismuth-titanium and gallium nitride, bismuth and titanium. And also a method of obtaining a medical device is proposed, which includes: a) providing a substrate with a surface; and b) applying a gallium compound and/or bismuth and titanium or titanium nitride onto said surface to form a layer.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a medical device that contains a compound of at least one non-toxic post-transition metal, which inhibits the biofilm formation on the surface of the medical device, which can reduce the risk of infection, for example, around the dental implant.
