SUBSTANCE: use of a polypeptide with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 as a homoserine succinyltransferase or a polynucleotide encoding it having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 or 3, to obtain O-succinylhomoserine. Microorganism Escherichia sp., which produces O-succinylhomoserine, expresses the polypeptide having resistance to methionine inhibition by the feedback principle and homoserinesuccinyltransferase activity is proposed. Method for the preparation of O-succinylhomoserine using this microorganism is provided.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to obtain O-succinylhomoserine in high yield.
