FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic equipment, in particular to vacuum electronic devices, including microwave O-type devices with a microsecond readiness time, which use field emission sources of current. Electronic gun consists of cells, containing field emission emitters in the form of points, forming and drawing grids with coaxial points and holes and anode. Forming grid is located inside the field-emission cell between the pulling grid and the cathode plane, which is the base of the points, and separated from the pulling grid by a layer of dielectric. Forming grid is separated from the vertices of the points at a distance X, satisfying the relation: D/6≥X≥0, where: D is the distance between the opposite planes of the grids, which includes the thickness of the dielectric layer and the thickness of both grids. Diameters of the holes in the grids d and the distance between the outer planes of both grids D are connected by the relation: d/4≥D≥d/5. This design allows the formation of an electron beam with a small angle of divergence of electron trajectories directly inside the field emission cell, which is a necessary condition for achieving the passage of the electron beam to the collector at a level of 97-100%.
EFFECT: technical result is a decrease in the spread of the slopes of the electron trajectories in the beam that is realized inside the field emission cell due to the decrease of the electron emission angle from the apex of the tip.
