SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic engineering, in particular to cathode-grid knots for vacuum electronic devices, including microwave devices with nanosecond readiness time, in which field emitters are used. Cathode-grid knot with a field emitter contains a vertically oriented tip-shaped field emitter and a grid electrode with a circular central hole placed coaxially with the axis of symmetry of the point cathode whose vertex is located inside the hole in the grid. In the grid electrode, an annular hole is formed concentrically with the central hole in the form of a gap of width equal to the diameter of the central hole, separated from the central hole by an annular grid electrode partition.

EFFECT: decrease in the angle of divergence of electron trajectories behind the grid by eliminating field emission from the lateral surface of the tip of the tip and a decrease in the defocusing action of the grid lens due to a decrease in the transverse component of the electric field in the region of the hole in the grid and, as a consequence, a decrease in the transverse electron velocities.
