FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to armaments and military equipment, in particular, to armored structures. Protective armour barrier comprises a corrugated layer made of spring steel, and a front layer of ceramic material. Additional layer of non-metallic material with a hardness of 30 to 150 MPa is installed on the back side of the corrugated layer. At least one substrate layer is interposed between the corrugated layer and the ceramic layer, the substrate is adjacent to the ceramic element made of a material having a tensile strength of 0.1×109 to 1.1×109 Pa. Thickness s and height h of the corrugated layer are determined by the linear dependence on the kinetic energy of the damaging element.
EFFECT: increased protective properties of the protective armour barrier is achieved, while maintaining its weight and size characteristics and reduced back deflection to avoid impact on the protected element of the device.
