FIELD: genetic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to genetic engineering, specifically to the production of microbial producers, and can be used to produce microbial oil. Oleaginous yeast cell capable of converting a carbon source into a fatty acid, fatty acid derivative and/or triacylglycerol is engineered. Resulting cell is characterised by a genetic modification that increases the expression of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGA1) genes and acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC1), and may further comprise a genetic modification, which increases the expression of the product of the SCD and/or ACL gene. Cell comprises a first nucleic acid construct comprising an expression cassette encoding a DGA1 gene product, and a heterologous intron-enhanced promoter that contains a transcription initiation site and an intron sequence at a position below the transcription initiation site; as well as a second nucleic acid construct comprising an expression cassette encoding the ACC1 gene product.

EFFECT: invention enables to produce yeast producers that exhibit significantly improved conversion rates as well as properties for synthesis and redundancy of TAG.
