FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of inorganic substances and can be used in the synthesis of fluorine-containing refrigerants in the production of uranium hexafluoride. Method for extracting hydrogen fluoride from its aqueous solutions involves the reduction reaction of water in the aqueous solution at an elevated temperature to obtain carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and hydrogen. Then, the resulting hydrogen fluoride and the unreacted water vapor are condensed and rectified. Mixture of hydrogen fluoride and water is reduced at a temperature of 800 K degrees and higher at a molar ratio of carbon in the reducing agent to water of 0.5 to 4. As a reducing agent, the reducing agent of general formula CnHmOk, where k≥0, m>0, and n>0 is used. Reducing agent is saturated, unsaturated, aromatic hydrocarbons, oxygen-containing organic compounds, their isomers, their mixtures.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to extract hydrogen fluoride from its mixtures with water, including from azeotropic mixtures, using a wider range of substances used as reducing agents and, when decreasing formed wastes and process stages, to exclude the use of granular substances.
