FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology, and can be used in the treatment of chronic and recurrent cornea erosion of herpetic ethiology. Method of treatment is characterized by two stages. First stage of treatment includes 3 weeks, during which antiviral, antibacterial, and conversion therapy is performed. In this case instillations of Ganciclovir 0.15 % 5 times a day – 14 days, then 3 times a day – 7 days are used. Instillations of Levofloxacinum 0.5 % or Moxifloxacinum 0.5 % 4 times a day for 7 days are also performed in combination with instillations of 5 % Dexpanthenol 4 times a day for 21 days. Valaciclovir is injected 500 mg twice a day for 10 days. At the second stage of treatment, the patient undergoes a course of instillation of platelet-rich plasma 6 times a day in combination with subconjunctival injection of platelet-rich plasma once a week. Number of procedures is 3 to 5 times, the procedure for obtaining a platelet-rich plasma is carried out once a week.

EFFECT: method provides the improvement of the corneal epithelium regeneration, recurrence prevention of chronic epithelial defects, prolongation of the remission period, shortening of the treatment period.
