METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIATED TREATMENT OF CORNEAL EROSIONS AND ULCERS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61F9/07 A61K35/19 A61P27/02

Abstract RU 2765601 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for differentiated treatment of corneal erosions and ulcers. For this purpose, a product of platelet-rich autoplasma (PRP) is used. For corneal erosions and ulcers with depth of 100 mcm and less, PRP lysate is used, obtained from platelet-rich plasma containing platelet count of not less than 1,000*109 cells/l, with a proportion of functionally adequate thrombocytes of not less than 38 %. In case of erosions, PRP lysate is instilled in dose of 1 drop 3 times a day until complete healing. In case of ulcer depth of 100 mcm and less — subconjunctival injections once a day in dose of 0.5 ml, in total 3 injections. In case of corneal ulcer with depth of more than 100 mcm — covering of cornea with thrombofibrin clot fixed by amniotic membrane, combined with subconjunctival introduction along limb in 4 quadrants of autologous serum in total volume of 1 ml. Tarsorrhaphy is performed.

EFFECT: invention provides effective treatment of the cornea depending on the nature and depth of its damage with accelerated healing of the injured surface, formation of opacity of lower intensity with deep injuries, reduction of recurrence rate.
