FIELD: vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for improving the performance of an automobile vehicle that can operate with a wide range of vehicle weight values. Engine system for the vehicle comprises engine (10) including an actuator and controller (12) operatively coupled to engine (10) and the actuator. Controller (12) contains instructions, stored in the persistent memory, to convert by means of the values in a table of a signal from an input device of driver (130) into torque, requested by the driver, and additional commands to use the values in the table in accordance with the difference between the specified acceleration of the vehicle and the actual acceleration of the vehicle, and additional commands for adjusting the actuator with the controller to vary the engine torque in accordance with the values in the table. Vehicle engine systems are also proposed. Ensuring a lower fuel consumption at lower loads is achieved. More constant level of vehicle performance is achieved even with varying loads. Reduction in the wear of drivetrain components is achieved.
