SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the liquid crystal panel gray color level value setting method, where each pixels unit in the panel includes main pixel M and additional pixel S, areas ratio between the main pixel M and the additional pixel S is equal to a:b. Method comprises obtaining of the liquid crystal panel each gray color level brightness real value with the front viewing angle and with the offset angle; division of the actual brightness values based on the areas ratio between the main pixel M and the additional pixel S and establishing the corresponding dependencies between the gray color level and the actual brightness value in the main pixel M and in the additional pixel S; calculation of the each gray color level brightness theoretical value; setting the gray color level combination entered into the main pixel M and the additional pixel S such that the sum of the value difference between the pixels block real brightness value and the theoretical brightness value is the smallest at the frontal viewing angle and at the offset angle; repeating the previous step to obtain the gray color levels to be input to the main pixel M and the additional pixel S, respectively, for the liquid crystal panel all levels of the gray color.

EFFECT: invention provides improvement in the image quality.
