FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for the application of stapled sutures. Surgical instrument comprises handle, engine, cassette with staples, fasteners and shaft, protruding from the handle. Handle and/or shaft can define the longitudinal axis. Stop is configured to deform the staples. Drive is configured to move the stop closer or further away from the cassette with the fasteners and is able to rotate relative to the longitudinal axis. Actuator is configured to remove the staples from the cassette with the fasteners.
EFFECT: surgical instrument comprises a transmission comprising the first operating configuration that connects the engine to the closing actuator and the second operating configuration that connects the engine to the actuator.
