FIELD: machine engineering.

SUBSTANCE: spindle unit contains chassis with installed it with the possibility of rotation on bearing assembly with a spindle having uniformly circumferentially disposed channels parallel to the axis of the spindle in which the aligned longitudinal helical grooves are made. In this case, the channels are connected to a cylindrical cavity of a spindle fixed to the rear end of the spindle having transverse screw-like grooves. The glass is made of bimetal. The coefficient of thermal conductivity of the material, in the thickness of which the transverse screw-like grooves are made in 1.5-5.7 times higher than the value of the coefficient of thermal conductivity of the main material of the glass. In this case, the curvature of the longitudinal helical grooves is made on a cycloid, and their cavities have the form of a "swallowtail".

EFFECT: maintenance of the given productivity of the machine at long operation of system of cooling of a surface of a spindle.
