FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to devices for the ostomy use and to a method for monitoring the pressure applied to a device for the ostomy use during its application to the skin. Herewith the device for the ostomy use comprises an adhesive plate comprising a protective layer facing in the opposite direction from the skin and an adhesive layer for attaching to the skin. Herewith the method includes the steps of: providing with a sensing means adapted to detect an application of pressure to the plate; applying the adhesive plate to the skin surrounding the stoma, by applying pressure to the sensitive means and the plate; retrieving the recorded data from the sensitive means.
EFFECT: device for the stoma use and a method of monitoring the pressure applied to the device for the stoma use during its application to the skin are proposed.
