FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to linear suspension insulators of overhead power transmission lines. Insulator contains metal cap (1), metal rod (2), insulating piece of tempered glass (3), which consists of head (4) and plate (5) with ribs (6) or without ribs on the lower surface, inner surface of the metal cap and the outer surface of the insulation part head, as well as the surface of the metal rod and the inner surface of the head of the insulation part are connected together by hardened cement-sand sticker (7), while the hydrophobic coating is evenly applied to the surface of the cement-sand sticker and part of the outer surface of the metal cap and the metal rod.
EFFECT: technical result is high reliability, the service life of insulators, as well as discharge characteristics in atmospheric and industrial pollution.
