FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to photoelectronic devices, and more particularly to the vacuum housings of photoelectronic devices, and can be used in the constructions of such mentioned photoelectronic devices, as photoelectronic multipliers, photon detectors, television transmitting tubes, electron-optical converters. Vacuum housing of the photoelectronic device contains a side tube with an imaginary central axis, with an inner peripheral surface, with an outer peripheral surface and an end portion at its end in the direction of an imaginary central axis. Also, the vacuum housing of the photoelectric device comprises an end panel attached to the end portion of the side tube and is an electrode assembly of the photoelectric device. Also, the vacuum housing of the photoelectric device comprises a seal made of an indium-containing metal material between the end portion of the side tube and the end panel. End part of the side tube is made of stainless steel chromite ferritic and has an end surface, and the end panel is pressed against the end face of the end portion of the side tube to deform the indium-containing metallic material and seal the connection between the side tube and the end panel.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of positioning the electrodes of the photoelectron device relative to each other, reducing the likelihood of cracking the electrode assembly made with glass, increasing the degree of tightness of the vacuum housing, reducing the likelihood of particles of metallic material falling into the inner space of the vacuum housing and the occurrence of short-circuits and auto-emission processes due to this inside the vacuum housing, and also in the exclusion of additional metal coatings around the edges of the end surface of the end part of the side tube.
