FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for repairing and repairing worn rails or rails having defects on the rolling surface. Method for reconstructing rails with defects on the rolling surface by automatic electric arc surfacing includes preheating the cladding zone to a temperature of 400±50°C for the length of cladding and 100 mm in each direction, automatic cladding with a powder self-shielding wire with a special sequence of overlapping cladding seams, consisting in applying the first roller along the perimeter of the weldment site and subsequent - across the axis of the rail for the width of the head with overlap to 1/3 of the width of the previous roller, if necessary in several layers, after the post-melting normalization of the rail in the cladding zone with heating to a temperature of 600±50°C with a shutter speed of 60±5 second. At the same time cladding and induction controlled heating is carried out by a universal welding induction-heating apparatus for a given program.
EFFECT: as a result, the productivity of the recovery process increases and its laboriousness decreases.
