FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a process for slurry-phase hydrocracking of a heavy hydrocarbon feedstock in a slurry-phase hydrocracking reactor. Method comprises introducing a first additive into the feedstock downstream of a feed charge pump for feeding the feedstock and upstream from a preheat exchanger to form fines-loaded feedstock, wherein the additive contains fine particles with a size distribution of less than 500 mcm, separately introducing a second additive to the fines-loaded feedstock downstream of a feed charge pump and upstream of the slurry-phase hydrocracking reactor, the second additive comprising coarse particles having a median particle size between 400 mcm and 2,000 mcm, and removing reaction products from the slurry-phase hydrocracking reactor.
EFFECT: proposed method reduces the amount of asphaltene coke precursors.
