FIELD: oil refining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for processing heavy petroleum feedstock and includes stages in which: hydrocracking of the feedstock is carried out in a suspension phase (HSP), including heavy petroleum feedstock and a coal additive, followed by separation into a feedstock stream subjected to HSP and a heavy residue stream, wherein the heavy residue stream is a suspension of unconverted high-boiling residue and spent coal additive; hydrocracking of hydrocracking products of raw materials obtained at the HSP stage is carried out in the gas phase with a stationary layer of catalyst, followed by fractionation of the resulting hydrocracking products; the unconverted hydrocracking residue of the heavy oil feedstock is subjected to purification from the spent coal additive to obtain a spent coal additive and a purified unconverted hydrocracking residue of the heavy oil feedstock. The invention also relates to a unit for separating the spent additive from the unconverted hydrocracking residue of heavy petroleum feedstock, a system for purifying the unconverted hydrocracking residue of heavy petroleum feedstock, and a method for purifying the unconverted hydrocracking residue of heavy petroleum feedstock from the spent coal additive.

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of separation of the spent coal additive and the mixture of unconverted residue and solvent, ensuring the stable operation of equipment with a given performance and preventing the clogging of equipment with deposits.
