SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigation, namely to the ship absolute speed measurement methods and devices. Technical result consists in increase in the noise immunity and reducing the error in the vessel absolute speed measuring using the Doppler’s log. This technical result is achieved by the four-beam HN radiating antenna forming according to the Janus scheme without additional maxima due to the use of a special phase distribution on the antenna elements, which essence is the antenna partition, like a chessboard, conditionally onto white and black squares, each of which includes four radiating elements located at the square corners, at that, on all of the white squares elements and on all of the black squares elements in-phase signals are supplied, with the only difference that the signals supplied to the black squares elements are antiphase relative to the signals supplied to the white squares elements.

EFFECT: reducing the ship's own speed measuring error and increase in the maximum depth of the log operation without increase in the equipment price and dimensions.
