FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry, preferably to double edible films. Method for producing double edible films from apple raw materials involves removing inedible parts from apples, treating apples with water vapour for 10-30 minutes, adding to resulting mass of 0.1-1.0% ascorbic acid and grinding it to puree state. Puree is wiped through sieve with cells of 0.50-2.00 mm, then to received mass plasticizer - 0,1-5,0% of apple puree weight is added, in regular intervals distribute on all volume. Edible film of apple juice, sodium alginate, ascorbic acid and glycerine in ratio of 1:1: 0.05:0.05, respectively, is placed on resulting sheet of edible film. Resulting sheet of double edible film of thickness of 1-3 mm is dried at room temperature for 10-15 hours.

EFFECT: proposed method for production of double edible films provides coating using 98% in composition of natural apple raw materials and additives assimilated by human body, while resulting film has mechanical strength.
