SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used on the sites of repair enterprises when checking the technical condition of the units. Implementing the method, the rotor is smoothly accelerated from the initial speed to the nominal with continuous control of the vibration parameters, compare the obtained values with the threshold values. If the obtained values of the vibration parameters exceed the threshold values, the acceleration of the rotor is stopped at the frequency of the detected imbalance, minimizing the imbalance by determining the angle of adjustment of the correcting masses with further correction of the masses. If, after minimizing the imbalance, the values of the vibration parameters do not exceed the threshold values and the limiting speed is not reached, then the acceleration of the rotor is continued with the control of the vibration parameters, otherwise the balancing process is stopped.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase safety and reduce the time of the balancing process of the rotor.
