SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For organ preservation treatment of uveal melanoma in the presence of a tumor 5–6 mm in thickness and more, preequatorial localization, myopia of medium and high degree immediately after removal of the ophthalmic applicator, a scleroplasty is performed in the irradiation zone. Scleral graft should cover the irradiation zone by 1–2 mm. To conduct scleroplasty, use a cadaveric sclera.
EFFECT: method ensures the prevention of radiation scleral necrosis with increasing the effectiveness of organ preservation treatment, reducing the risk of repeated surgical interventions.
